This site was set up by Michael Katzmann and Michaela Platzer, residents of Barnaby Street, in order to facilitate the dissemination of information on the recent tree removal actions by PEPCO.

We welcome any comments to the postings, or new postings on any topic. Lets hear from you!

A large and well established forum for discussing local issues in the Chevy Chase area, is the Chevy Chase Community Listserv. This is a ‘Yahoo’ group. It is moderated and restricted to members. To request membership, email ChevyChaseCommunityListserv-owner@yahoogroups.com. I will be mirroring much of the material found here on that group, to gain the widest possible audience for the issue.

   What a terrific job you did – thank you! Yesterday, Thursday, I saw many Asplundh trucks doing trimming in the neighborhood – Utah, and another street – I thought there was a moratorium, or is it only for Barnaby Street? Good work all of you who were active in this endeavor.

   Yes, I saw the crews aggressively pruning on 32nd Street yesterady (7th Oct).
